Child Neglect Arrest

State police report a woman accused of severe child neglect has turned herself in to authorities. 33-year old Donna Rodeheffer is charged with 3 counts of negligent cruelty to persons and risk of injury to a child. Police say the State Department of Children and Families were referred last July to a Danielson address to find three children, ages 3, 5, and 6 severely malnourished, without most of their teeth, dehydrated, still in diapers, and not able to talk. Further investigation discovered the children had rarely left home, and were never enrolled in school. They are now in state care. Rodeheffer is being held on 150-thousand dollars bond. A man living with her, 24-year old Nicolas Emory, is being held in Arizona on child pornography charges, and is expected to be brought back to Connecticut.
