The “God’s Plan” rapper is apparently releasing a new track shortly.
A screenshot of an Instagram live chat from producer Murda Beatz — captured by Real Rap magazine Tuesday — shows a comment from Drizzy that reads, “New single soon produced by Chef Murda.”
The Instagram Live session is no longer available to view, but Billboard reports that Murda paused the video “to give a shout-out to Drake and told the rapper that he’s ready and waiting for him to finish up the single.”
Murda Beatz and Drake are longtime collaborators: Murda produced songs for Drizzy such as “Portland” and “No Long Talk.”
Drake’s hit single, “God’s Plan,” is currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for its eighth week since debuting on the chart in January.
According to Billboard, only five other songs in history have spent their first eight weeks or more at #1.
