ABC/Nicole WilderJack White has shared another preview of his forthcoming solo album Boarding House Reach with a new track titled “Ice Station Zebra.”
Even by the standards of the previously released songs “Corporation” and “Respect Commander,” “Ice Station Zebra” is a weird one, lacking any traditional structure and combining elements of rock, hip-hop, funk and jazz. To listen for yourself, you can download the track now via digital outlets.
Boarding House Reach, which also features the singles “Connected By Love” and “Over and Over and Over,” arrives March 23.
White will launch a North American tour in support of the album April 19 with a hometown show in Detroit. Along the way, he’ll be headlining a number of festivals, including Jazz Fest, Boston Calling, Governors Ball and Lollapalooza.
Prior to the tour, White is playing an album release day show on March 23 in Brooklyn, New York. The show will stream live online starting at 10 p.m. ET via Twitter.
