ABC/Randy HolmesVance Joy is up for a songwriting award in his native Australia.
The musician’s single “Lay It on Me” is nominated for Pop Work of the Year at the 2018 APRA Awards, which recognize songwriting achievements on the Australian charts.
Vance is no stranger to the APRAs, and he’s previously been nominated multiple times. He won the 2014 award for Pop Work of the Year and Song of the Year for his breakthrough single “Riptide.”
The 2018 APRA nominations also include Coldplay and hit DJ duo The Chainsmokers in the International Work of the Year category for their collaborative song, “Something Just Like This.”
The ARPA Awards will be handed out April 10 in Sydney, Australia.
