Taylor Hill/Getty ImagesEver since the alleged incident took place, Azealia Banks has been extremely vocal about the 2016 Beverly Hills Hotel tiff she had with actor Russell Crowe.
Now, Vince Staples is voicing his support for the “Big Big Beat” star.
Monday, Vince tweeted, ‘YALL LET RUSSELL CROWE SPIT AT AZEALIA BANKS BUT IF TYLER PERRY SPIT AT TAYLOR SWIFT IT WOULD BE NO MORE MEDEAS MOVIES. LOL BUT IM SERIOUS.”
The “Yeah Right” artist’s statement refers to Azealia’s claim that Crowe spit on her during his hotel party in 2016.
She’s long claimed that the Gladiator actor also choked her and called her the n-word.
Azealia responded to Vince’s tweet on her Instagram account by reposting his message along with a long statement of her own.
She begins by writing, “Crazy…all Kanye did was say excuse me then take Taylor’s mic (which she handed to him_ and they damn near cancelled him. Crowe choked me, spat on me, called me a n***** and is still being booked for work. It’s insane that he really got away with that.”
“I’m really not over it, it’s definitely a thorn in my side plus all of the public humiliation cause by RZA saying I lied just really made and makes it worse,” she adds.
“Plus I had never publicly confirmed that I had a mental illness. [In] rza’s Facebook post he blasted me for being on medication as if that was a reason for Russell to have spit on me.”
“Everyone In the room that night lied on his behalf, the hotel sold the tapes…No one has ever apologized to me for any of this… these last two years have really been hard for me.”
