ABC/Randy HolmesIt appears that Pharrell Williams is recycling the title of his second solo album, G I R L, for trademark use on a number of women’s products.
TMZ reports that the “Happy” singer has applied for the trademark to use the name “Girl By Pharrell Williams” and “Pharrell Wiliams Girl” on clothing, lingerie and other items such as jewelry, athletic gear, luggage and cosmetics.
Pharrell is no stranger to the fashion industry — he’s the co-creator of the men’s street wear lines Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream.
In addition, TMZ reports that Pharrell has trademarked G I R L for music. This would also include “recordings, online books and other various medias, as well as electronics.”
