ABC/Paula LoboHalsey is set to be honored at The Endometriosis Foundation of America’s ninth annual Blossom Ball.
The singer has previously been outspoken about her struggle with the chronic and painful illness, which occurs when abnormal tissue grows outside the uterus. Last year, she posted about undergoing multiple surgeries to treat the disease.
“For those of you who have followed this battle of mine or who may suffer with it yourself, you know the extremes to which it can be mentally exhausting and physically painful,” she wrote on Instagram.
She continued, “If you suffer from chronic pain or a debilitating disease please know that I have found time to live a crazy, wild, rewarding life AND balance my treatment and I hope so much in my heart that you can too.”
The Blossom Ball will take place on March 19 in New York City. March marks Endometriosis Awareness Month.
