“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli bought the only copy of Wu-Tang’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin in 2015. He was recently convicted of defrauding investors in two hedge funds he controlled and a federal judge in Brooklyn, NY ruled on Monday that he must give up more than $7 million in assets.
Those assets could potentially include the Wu-Tang album, as well as $5 million in an E*Trade brokerage account, a Picasso painting and a copy of the still-unreleased Lil Wayne album Tha Carter V.
Once Upon a Time in Shaolin is a double album which was stored in a secured vault in Morocco before it was auctioned in 2015. Only one copy of it was ever produced, making it the most expensive album ever sold.
