Steven Ferdman/Getty ImagesAs Remy Ma continues her strong comeback following several years behind bars, her sister has been arrested for a shooting incident.
Remeesha Alesia Blount was taken into police custody on Monday in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to The News & Observer. She is accused of shooting a woman and also firing several shots at a vehicle outside of a local bar.
Blount has been charged with “one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, three counts of assault with the weapon with intent to kill, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and discharging a firearm in the city.”
She has several previous arrests, including charges for assault with a deadly weapon, assault by pointing a gun, and shooting a gun inside city limits. Blount is now being held without bail.
Remy served six years in prison for assault and illegal weapon possession, She was released in August 2014.
