Night Street/Interscope K.Flay has shared a new song called “Run for Your Life,” a song she recorded for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. The frenzied, feral track is available digitally now.
“I wrote ‘Run for Your Life’ in a hotel room in Johnson City, Tennessee, a few hours before my show that night,” the “Blood in the Cut” singer tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I think the frantic energy of touring found its way into the track.”
She adds that writing “Run for Your Life” was a “challenge,” since she hadn’t seen the whole film yet. “I’ve of course seen it now and it’s awesome,” she says.
Tomb Raider stars Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander as the iconic video game character Lara Croft, played previously by Angelina Jolie. The film hits theaters March 16.
K.Flay is currently touring Europe opening for Imagine Dragons, and she’ll embark on her own North American headlining trek in March. Starting in July, she’ll be supporting Thirty Seconds to Mars on their U.S Monolith tour.
