Courtesy of The Fest for Beatles FansThe guest lineup has been unveiled for the 2018 New York-area edition of The Fest for Beatles Fans, which runs from Friday, March 9, to Sunday, March 11, at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Jersey City, New Jersey. The festival will feature performances and appearances by a variety of well-known artists, including founding Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive member Randy Bachman, Peter & Gordon‘s Peter Asher, and Chad & Jeremy‘s Jeremy Clyde.
Bachman will perform on the festival’s last day, while Asher will be on hand for all three days. Friday, Peter will present a storytellers-style performance with various guests, while on Saturday and Sunday he and Clyde will team up to perform as a duo for the very first time.
Other notable musicians who will take part in the event include longtime Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band music director and sax player Mark Rivera, Monty Python collaborator and Rutles singer Neil Innes, and Billy J. Kramer. The Beatles’ longtime hairdresser, Leslie Cavendish, also will appear at the Fab Four extravaganza.
In addition, The Fest for Beatles will feature 50th anniversary celebrations for Yellow Submarine and the band’s two-disc self-titled album, a.k.a. The White Album.
Other activities and events include a bevy of Beatles tribute performances, autograph signings, Q&A sessions and panel discussions, a battle of the bands, a karaoke room, a dance party, a trivia contest, memorabilia sales and auctions, art displays, film screenings and more.
Meanwhile, a Chicago-area edition of the Beatles fest is scheduled for August 10-12 at The Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois.
