ABC/Randy HolmesThis week, it was revealed that Metallica frontman James Hetfield will play a role in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, an upcoming film about infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. Now, we have photographic evidence.
Director Joe Berlinger has shared an Instagram photo from the set, showing Hetfield in full costume as Officer Bob Hayward, the Utah highway patrolman who first arrested Bundy in 1975. The pic also features actor Zac Efron, who portrays Bundy.
Extremely Wicked, which will also star Lily Collins, Jim Parsons and John Malkovich, is currently in production. The film marks Hetfield’s first dramatic acting role.
Along with his film work, Hetfield is also touring Europe with Metallica in support of the band’s latest album, Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.
