ABC/Randy HolmesWill Smith is a proud papa.
After his son Jaden surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify for his first studio album, SYRE, Smith decided to congratulate him by recreating Jaden’s “Icon” video.
In the one-minute spoof, posted on Smith’s Instagram page on Tuesday night, Will dresses up like Jaden in the video, sporting dyed hair, grills, and even gold chains.
However, unlike his son, Will’s grills fall out and he wears slippers and socks instead of sneakers.
“J-diggy, I’m proud of you baby,” Smith says at the end of the video.
“100 million streams. Congratulations man, hundred million, congrats. I love you.”
Will captions the video, “Congrats on 100,000,000 @Spotify streams, Jaden! @c.syresmith It is a Delicious Gift to a Parent to Admire his children. Keep Doin’ You!”
Jaden later responded to his dad’s hilarious post with a heartfelt message of his own that was captured by The Shade Room.
“Dad this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life you’re the best father anyone could ask for,” he wrote in in his father’s comments section.
“Thank you for allowing me to express myself even when I take it to[o] far sometimes,” he continued.
“I love you more than you will ever know because you taught me how to love. Also thank you for having the best Instagram on earth.”
Jaden’s SYRE album is available online.
