ABC/Randy HolmesMigos‘ Culture II has officially topped the Billboard 200 chart, making the disc the rap group’s second #1 album.
Their sophomore album, Culture, launched at number one on the chart last year
Thanks to the achievement, Migos is the fifth rap group to score more than one number-one album, following the Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and D12.
Culture II launched with 199,000 in equivalent album units, with the majority — 150,000, to be exact — in on-demand audio streams which, Billboard reports, is equal to “225.6 million on-demand audio streams of the album’s songs during the tracking week.”
As a result, according to Billboard, Culture II earned the largest streaming week for an album since Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in April.
