The rapper is releasing his first-ever gospel album, and 16th studio project, Bible of Love, on March 16.
The 32-track double disc is also the first release from Snoop’s All The Time Entertainment gospel label, which he launched to give more opportunities for gospel music artists.
In a statement, Snoop credits his late grandmother, Dorothy Tate, for introducing him to gospel music and inspiring him to release a gospel album of his own.
He says, “I am blessed to have so many legendary friends join me on this journey. As the country is in one of its heaviest times and is so divided, I wanted to make an album that spreads love and unity around the world. That’s what I was taught, so that’s all I know. Real love.”
Bible of Love features a slew of guest artists from gospel and R&B, including Tye Tribbett, Faith Evans, Bishop Rance Allen and The Clark Sisters, with more names to be announced. Fans can pre-order it now via the usual digital platforms.
As previously reported, fans will be able to hear a sneak peek of Snoop’s new sound at the 19th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration on February 1.
The NFL-sanctioned event, taking place three days before Super Bowl LII, will be held at the Benson Great Hall at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
It will also air on BET as a one-hour television special on Saturday, February 3.
According to the Super Bowl Gospel Twitter account, Faith Evans, Tye Tribbett, The Clark Sisters and Bishop Rance Allen will also join Snoop to perform songs from his forthcoming disc.
