Credit: Danny ClinchDead & Company will be truckin’ to Arrington, Virginia, this summer for a headlining appearance at the 2018 edition of the Lockn’ festival, which takes place August 23-26 at Infinity Downs and Oak Ridge Farm.
The band, which features Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with singer, songwriter, guitarist and pop star John Mayer, will play four sets spread across the final two nights of the jam-heavy fest.
The full lineup for Lockn’ 2018 will be rolled out over the course of the next week, with one artist per day set to be announced from Friday, February 2, through Thursday, February 8.
While most of the members of Dead & Company have played at the Lockn’ festival in previous years, this will mark the first time the band as a whole will perform at the event.
While early-bird tickets for the festival are sold-out, Tier 1 tickets are scheduled to go on sale exclusively at LocknFestival.com at 12 p.m. ET on February 9. Both three-day and four-day passes will be available.
In addition, a Facebook contest running from February 5 to February 7 will offer fans the opportunity to win a pair of four-day VIP Festival passes allowing attendees to access a variety of upgraded amenities and more.
Prior to their Lockn’ performances, Dead & Company will head out on a previously announced U.S tour running from a May 30 concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts, through a July 13-14 engagement in Boulder, Colorado.
The group also has three shows in late February that were rescheduled from this past December when they were postponed because Mayer had to undergo an emergency appendectomy.
