ABC/Randy HolmesIt appears JAY-Z wants to expand his Paper Planes clothing brand.
TMZ reports that the “Family Feud” rapper’s company, S. Carter Enterprises, filed a trademark application in order to secure all rights to Paper Planes.
This includes expanding the brand’s plane logo to incorporate other products, like an online shopping site, musical recordings, jewelry, athletic gym bags, tour books, a cosmetics line, and even department stores.
JAY’s Paper Planes brand expansion, should it happen, could put him at number one on Forbes‘ Richest in Hip-Hop of 2018 list.
Last year, the magazine named him the second-richest hip-hop star, with a reported income of $810 million, following Sean “Diddy” Combs, mainly thanks to his successful Roc Nation entertainment company, Tidal music-streaming service, and Armand de Brignac champagne.
