ABC/Paula LoboFall Out Boy‘s new album M A N I A is set for a chart battle on the top of the Billboard 200.
The publication reports that the seventh studio effort from the Chicago pop-punks could sell between 105,000 to 110,000 equivalent album units, which might be good enough for a #1 debut on the tally.
M A N I A‘s main competition for the top spot? The soundtrack to The Greatest Showman, the musical film starring Hugh Jackman. That album, which has already spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200, is also expected to sell in the 105,000 to 110,000 units range.
If M A N I A does pull out ahead of The Greatest Showman, Fall Out Boy will have a total of four number-one albums under their belts. They previously topped the Billboard 200 with 2015’s American Beauty/American Psycho, 2013’s Save Rock and Roll and 2007’s Infinity on High.
Fall Out Boy will kick off a summer North American headlining tour in support of Mania August 29 in Uniondale, New York.
