Greg WilliamsThey might as well rename it “Sheeranville:” Ed Sheeran has purchased four houses next door to one another in the Suffolk, England village where he lives.
According to the Daily Mail, Ed first purchased a home in the area for more than a million dollars in 2012. At the same time, he bought another property for around $640,000. He then bought another four-bedroom house in September of 2016 for well over a million dollars, and then snapped up a bungalow on the other side of his driveway this past October.
Ed’s now having the properties renovated. The newly-engaged singer will certainly have enough room if he wants to start a family right away with his fiancee, Cherry Seaborn.
A local resident tells the Mail, “Ed is a super guy and really friendly. He is just a down-to-earth Suffolk boy at heart — so who can blame him for wanting to settle down here? It is a lovely part of the world. He’s bought all the properties next door. I guess it means that there is nobody to complain if he plays his music too loudly.”
According to the Daily Mail, Ed plans to build two underground entertainment rooms — a screening room and a music room — which will be connected to his house by an underground tunnel. Those rooms will also be linked to one of the other properties, which he’s converted into a private pub.
Last year in an interview, Ed said, “There’s an underground tunnel to get [to the pub] that you can close off. So if I have a party, everyone goes in the pub and no one can get in the house, so you get no one raiding the cupboards or smashing anything.”
