ABC/Randy HolmesWe’ll be getting another dose of Thirty Seconds to Mars music this week. Jared Leto and company are releasing a new single called “Dangerous Night” this Thursday, January 25.
“Dangerous Night” is the follow-up single to the previously released track “Walk on Water,” which was released last August. That song reached number two on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs chart and number six on the publication’s Mainstream Rock Songs ranking.
Both “Walk on Water” and “Dangerous Night” are expected to appear on Thirty Seconds to Mars’ forthcoming fifth studio album, their first since 2013’s Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams. The new album, which will be accompanied by a Leto-directed documentary title A Day in the Life of America, is due out this year.
The day after “Dangerous Night” premieres, Leto will perform at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala in honor of Fleetwood Mac. The event takes place January 26 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.
Thirty Seconds to Mars will embark on a European tour in March. They’ll return to the U.S. in the summer for their annual Camp Mars festival and wilderness retreat, held August 11-13 in Malibu, California.
