Ex-Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee may be having a change of heart about having his son Brandon prosecuted for allegedly assaulting him during an altercation at Lee’s L.A. home.
TMZ reports that sources close to Tommy say Lee now wants to reconcile with his 21-year-old son after being shown a video in which Brandon tells a TMZ photographer that he wants to make amends and that he loves his dad.
Sources tell TMZ that Tommy is having second thoughts about moving to have Brandon prosecuted for battery, although the case will be sent to the district attorney’s office soon.
However, as TMZ points out, even if Tommy wants the charges dropped, it will be up to the D.A.’s office as to whether or not it will move forward with the case. That being said, the tabloid’s sources say Tommy thinks that Brandon’s comments were “very sweet” and that he loves his son too.
As previously reported, Brandon Lee allegedly punched his father because he was angry about negative comments Tommy made on social media about Brandon’s mother, Pamela Anderson.
Brandon said in a statement to People that his actions were a response to his father’s alcohol issues, while Tommy claimed in a Facebook post that the attack was unprovoked, and added that he was heartbroken that his son didn’t apologize after the incident.
