Raven VaronaWith Tax Day approaching on April 17, Cardi B wants to know what the American government is doing with her hard-earned tax money.
In an Instagram video posted Thursday, Cardi says, “So you know the government is taking 40 percent of my taxes and Uncle Sam I want to know what you’re doing with my f*****g tax money, ’cause you know what I’m saying, when you donate to a kid from a foreign country, they give you updates of what they doing with your donation.”
The Bronx native goes on to say, “I’m from New York and the streets is always dirty. We was voted the dirtiest city in America. What is y’all doing? There’s still rats on the damn trains.”
“I want to know. I want receipts. I want everything,” Cardi declares.
The Grammy nominee’s rant against Uncle Sam doesn’t mark the first time she’s publicly voiced her opinions about politics or the U.S. government.
In January, the “Bodak Yellow” star expressed her distaste for President Donald Trump on Twitter.
“Trump is soo disgusting! I hate him Soo much. Im starting to hate him with a f****** passion,” she wrote, followed by three mad-face emojis.
In September, Cardi also tweeted her thoughts about the president’s alleged lack of support for Puerto Rico following the devastation left by Hurricane Maria.
She wrote, “Puerto Rico in crisis right now & Donald has not yet visited or talk about it. PR is part of the USA you know Don’t forget about the island.”
