ABC/Image Group LATim McGraw and Faith Hill alternated openers on last year’s Soul2Soul Tour, but for the 2018 version of the trek, they’re employing a different strategy. Rather than changing acts every weekend, this year they’re taking newcomers Devin Dawson and Caitlyn Smith out with them.
Caitlyn will kick off the tour May 31 in Richmond, Virginia, with Devin taking over June 26 in Bossier City, Louisiana and continuing until the tour wraps July 22 in Devin’s home state of California. The “All on Me” hitmaker did a weekend with Tim & Faith last year, getting to play the first arena of his career near the place he grew up.
Caitlyn is best known for writing Meghan Trainor’s quadruple-platinum pop hit, “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.” Her debut album Starfire came out earlier this year.
