ABC/Image Group LAThe Chainsmokers have released their third single of 2018 Friday, called “Everybody Hates Me.”
Following the release of “Sick Boy” and “You Owe Me,” this track tackles the loneliness of fame and dealing with haters.
“I’m not trying to be like, ‘Poor me, I made it’/I’m just trying to stay normal now that they know what my name is,” Drew Taggart sings. “I just want to drink tequila with my friends/I walk into the club like everybody hates me.”
No word yet on if The Chainsmokers will be releasing a new album or whether they will just continue to release one-off singles.
