ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaIt looks like Bow Wow had an eventful Tuesday.
First, the rapper, who in 2016 announced plans to release one final album before retiring from rap, put out a new song and and music video called “Drunk Off Ciroc.”
The song intrigued fans thanks to its mention of Chris Brown.
The lyrics read, “I skipped a show just so I could see you Chris/Day ones, me and you been through a lot of s***/No matter what you gon’ always be my little brother/And it kill me when we in public and we ain’t speaking to each other.”
Chris himself replied to Bow Wow’s suggestion of a beef between them via The Shade Room with the statement, “IM CONFUSED…U good bro?”
Bow Wow’s response? He says he was truly “drunk off Ciroc in the studio and I just started going” when he recorded the track.
In an Instagram video he posted Tuesday, Bow further explains, “I was very vulnerable at the time…I felt that as an artist…the best way to express ourselves in when we write.”
He continues, “Everything I’m talking about is… just real content. The things that I’ve been going through in my life in the past six years, a lot of s*** y’all don’t know.”
Speaking of things fans don’t know, a video of Bow Wow getting punched in the face by a rapper named Cheeks Bossman was leaked on Tuesday as well.
According to WorldStarHipHop, where fans can watch the video, Cheeks attacked Bow because the “Bounce With Me” artist reportedly dissed Future.
Bow Wow replied to the video Wednesday, tweeting, “REAL n***** dont condone nor accept sucka s*** by sucka a** n***** clout chasing. We on this music. 5 month old edited a** vids. Stop it.”
