ABC/Randy HolmesMigos has been sued by the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, NY for allegedly inciting a riot at the venue during a 2015 concert.
Local alternative newsweekly The Alt reported the news, and provided a link to the lawsuit.
According to the lawsuit, the group is essentially accused of inciting a riot at the show.
The suit claims the group showed up several hours late for the show under the influence of various substances, and then began to provoke the already upset and agitated crowd.
The complaint alleges that while onstage, Migos “encouraged fans to fight, ‘give them hell’ and kick a**;” they also allegedly were seen “exiting the stage and attacking members of the crowd.”
As a result of the group’s actions, the suit claims, patrons at the show were “stabbed, robbed, beaten, severely harmed, and injured as the defendants continues to incite a select group of individuals to continue the onslaught of attacks, assaults, and destruction of the premises.”
The suit continues, “Despite the severity of the incident the defendants were seen laughing and egging the crowd on as metal gates were ripped from the ground and thrown into the crowd.”
The Alt adds that another lawsuit was filed against Migos and Washington Avenue Armory owner, Albany Basketball & Sports Corporation, by an individual who “allegedly attended the concert.”
The plaintiff, named Sharome Ross, says he was “attacked and assaulted by persons who were in attendance at the same show” and that he sustained “serious permanent personal injuries” caused by the defendants.
