Atlantic RecordsShinedown has unveiled the details of their next album. The sixth full-length effort from the Florida rockers is titled Attention Attention, and will arrive on May 4.
Our first preview of Attention Attention is the single “Devil,” which you can grab now via digital outlets. The track is accompanied by a dramatic video, streaming now on YouTube, which frontman Brent Smith says is the first of a connected series of visuals for each song on the album.
“It was all about starting the story off very dramatic,” Smith tells Billboard of the “Devil” video. “It’s not set in a traditional, quote-unquote music video style. It plays out, even in the four minutes-and-change that the song is, [that] we pack a lot of information into this first song for the viewer, because that was all built by design; we really wanted to make a statement with this video.”
Attention Attention is the follow-up to 2015’s Threat to Survival. Shinedown will be touring in support of the new album throughout the spring and summer, including co-headlining jaunts with Five Finger Death Punch and Godsmack.
