In a joint statement to Us Weekly, the pair states, “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.”
They continue, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives.”
“The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
It’s currently unknown whether the recording artist’s very public STD scandal of last year is partly or wholly to blame for his and Grace’s decision to call it quits.
The magazine claims that Usher and Grace’s announcement “was a long time coming as the pair has been separated for several months.”
The “U Got It Bad” singer and music executive tied the knot in 2015. Grace is Usher’s second wife; he married his first wife, Tameka Foster in 2007. They divorced in 2009.
Usher and Tameka share two sons: Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond. Usher and Miguel have no children.
