His insurance policy was canceled, and he lost his job. With the car, Cook also lost his prized CD collection, save for one album by Zakk Wylde. But wait…there’s some good news, too.
As CBC News reports, the Black Label Society frontman got wind of what happened to Cook, and he recruited his good buddy Ozzy Osbourne to help him surprise the unlucky fan.
After hearing about Cook’s story, Wylde sent him a box of Black Label Society swag, including clothing, CDs and vinyl. Cook then received a second package, featuring a number of Ozzy t-shirts, along with the Prince of Darkness’ entire Black Sabbath and solo discography. Osbourne also sent him a signed and personalized photo.
“These guys, they don’t know who I am,” Cook tells CBC News. “But they set me up with all this stuff. It’s amazing.”
In addition to his new swag collection, Cook also got another pizza delivery job, and his car is loaded with his favorite music once more.
