ABC/Randy HolmesT.I. is adding to his acting resume with a new music drama about aspiring high school singers in Los Angeles.
The Atlanta MC will star in and produce Glow Up, a film about an all-girl singing group that hopes to win a talent contest and save their school music program, Deadline.com reports.
T.I. will also curate the movie’s soundtrack for his Grand Hustle label.
Glow Up is the latest of several new acting projects for the Grammy Award-winning rapper. He appears with Rosario Dawson in the film Krystal, opening April 13, and he’s also featured, along with Laurence Fishburne, in Ant-Man and the Wasp, which opens July 6.
On top of those projects, T.I. recently completed production on The Trap, co-starring Queen Latifah and Mike Epps, and is currently shooting Cut Throat City with Terrence Howard and Wesley Snipes.
