Earl Gibson III/Getty Images for BETIn a new video interview with Rap-Up magazine, Birdman gives high praise to Nicki Minaj, calling the “Super Bass” artist “the best female ever in hip-hop.”
“Nicki, to me, I always say she the best ever. Hands down. Facts,” he says.
The “100 Million” rapper adds that before Nicki came onto the scene, “the doors really was shut.”
He continues, “It wasn’t no doors….I don’t think no female ever in the modern time, or before time, is more talented than Nicki Minaj.”
Birdman then recognizes Nicki’s astounding creativity, saying, “Sometimes you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap… But if you put her on [a rap track with] females… she[‘s] a monster in her own race. But I just think her creativity [is] what make[s] you have longevity in this game… being creative will make you last so long in this game.”
As previously reported, Nicki’s been hard at work in the studio working on her new album that’s “expected to be released later this year.”
Her previous disc, The Pinkprint, was released in 2014.
