Courtesy of Live NationWhen Daryl Hall and John Oates kick off their summer tour with Train, a portion of each night’s show will feature the two acts performing together. But in addition to their many hits, there might also be a brand new, collaborative song thrown into the set list for fans to enjoy.
Speaking to Forbes magazine, Train frontman Pat Monahan says, “Daryl and I and John, we recorded a new song together. I think we are going to put that out very soon, so that we can perform it together on the road.”
In addition to that special collaboration, Monahan says new Train music is on the way.
“We are actually going to release a new song before the tour, a Train song, that will highlight a greatest hits that will come out also during the tour,” he tells Forbes. “We’re gonna put a greatest hits out and add a few songs to it.”
According to Monahan, the greatest hits album will arrive in late summer or early fall. When it comes out, it’ll mark Train’s first-ever best-of collection. Since their self-titled debut album in 1998, the band has released eight studio albums, a Christmas album, a few live albums, a few EPs and a Led Zeppelin cover album.
The Train/Daryl Hall & John Oates tour gets underway May 1 in Sacramento, CA.
