ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica is bringing their WorldWired tour back to North America this fall, and the dates will run all the way through the first part of 2019.
The new tour leg begins September 2 in Madison, WI and right now, it’s scheduled to wrap up March 13, 2019 in Grand Rapids, MI. The tour will see the band visiting cities they haven’t been to in decades, such as Birmingham, AL, State College, PA and Grand Forks, ND.
The tour will also feature something called the Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket, which gets you floor access to any Metallica show on the entire tour — you just need to pick the show and call no less than 48 hours before to let them know you’re coming. There are only 250 of these special tickets available for $598; that price being a nod to the re-issue of the Garage Days Re-Revisited EP.
In addition, all the shows will begin with the Light It Up pre-show party hosted by comedian Jim Breuer, which will feature a DJ, comedy, fan interaction, giveaways and more.
Every regular ticket purchased features a copy of Metallica’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct album, and “enhanced experiences” will also be available, such as meet-and-greets, premium tickets and access to a special exhibit of Metallica memorabilia. Visit CID Entertainment for details on that.
