John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCPeople have been speculating that Lorde and Jack Antonoff are dating ever since Jack split with Lena Dunham last month. But Lorde set the record straight during an Instagram Live chat with fans last night.
She started the video wearing only a towel and discussing her love for crafting and books. When the conversation hit a lull, she encouraged her followers to comment something “juicy.”
One fan brought the juice, asking: “Did you date Jack?”
Lorde replied, laughing, “Guys, no! Never. No. Jack and I are not dating, for the last time! But I love him, he’s awesome. Though we’re not dating!”
When the romance rumors first surfaced, Jack took to Twitter to deny them. “Normally i would never address rumors but i resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip,” he wrote. “Those relationships are deeply important and sacred. with that said, im not seeing anyone. lol.”
Lorde collaborated with Jack on her latest album, Melodrama.
