ABC/Randy HolmesJill Scott is firing back at fans in a new post after some claimed that the singer’s recent drunken episode was sparked by her ongoing divorce.
In the now deleted-Instagram video, captured by The Shade Room, Scott is seen slurring her words and saying that her night was going perfect, until she had one too many drinks.
After deleting her post, Scott went online to reassure her fans that she was okay, and her inebriated speech was not a result of her pending divorce.
“Yooooowwwww,” she wrote in a message posted on Instagram. “Ya’ll got to stop assuming EVERYTHING is about my divorce. S***’s dumb. I’ve NEVER fit a box; no matter how big it is. Let that thing go out cha mind because IT’S OUT OF MINE. #Bahleedat #heme???? Ok.”
She then captioned the message, “Real Talk. Goodnight.”
As previously reported, Scott filed for divorce in September 2017 from her estranged husband Mike Dobson, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two were married for 14 months.
