But according to the former Oasis vocalist, the Foos did not get their full dose of Liam.
“They keep texting me, man,” Gallagher tells NME. “They wanted to do one tune, but I dunno — I’ll do it one day, but I’m too busy doing [my solo career] at the moment.”
Gallagher does count himself a fan of the Foos, and says they have “good tunes.”
“I think Dave Grohl’s very talented, and so is the band,” he adds.
Foo Fighters have been in a collaborative mood as of late: Their new album Concrete and Gold features appearances from Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake and Boyz II Men‘s Shawn Stockman, among others.
In other Liam Gallagher happenings, Noisey.com had the brilliant idea of having a group of small children interview the famously cranky musician. Luckily, Gallagher doesn’t unleash any profanity on the kids, but at one point in the video, when one child asks him if he “gets sweets” after playing a good concert, he responds, “Yeah, sort of.”
