ABC/Fred WatkinsFantasia has unfortunately cancelled two upcoming performances — one in Atlantic City on February 17 and another in Reading, PA on February 24 — due to a “recent knee injury.”
A statement on the singer’s Twitter account further explains, “Doctors have ordered her to continue to rest so that she can heal properly.”
The message continues, “Fantasia has also suffered an incredible tragedy this week with the loss of her nephew and is taking some time to be with her loved ones as they try to process this devastating loss.”
As previously reported, Tyquan Washington was fatally shot Tuesday in Greensboro, North Carolina. The investigation behind the shooting is currently underway.
Fantasia posted two messages on her Instagram page in tribute to her late nephew. The latest one, shared Wednesday, features a picture of Tyquan smiling.
