The Chicago metallers have shared a video from a recording studio showing them playing acoustic guitars and using brush drumsticks. In the clip, you can hear frontman David Draiman say that what they’re working on is a “big departure,” while still featuring a “gargantuan hook.”
It would make sense if Disturbed wanted to take a more acoustic approach to their next album, given the success of their Grammy-nominated orchestral cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic, “The Sound of Silence.”
The new album will be the follow-up to Disturbed’s 2015 comeback effort, Immortalized.
