Credit: Henry DiltzDavid Crosby says he remains at odds with his old band mates Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, but he tells The Hollywood Reporter that Crosby, Stills & Nash might be inspired to reunite thanks to the election of Donald Trump as president.
“We don’t get along, and we haven’t gotten along for a while. They’re all mad at me,” Crosby explains about his longtime collaborators. “But they all dislike Donald Trump very much, the same way I do. We dislike him intensely because he’s a spoiled child who can’t do his job. So a reunion is possible.”
The 76-year-old folk-rock legend also points out that the only way a reunion would take place is if Neil Young also takes part.
As for why Stills and Nash don’t like him, Crosby says, “There’s a whole variety of reasons. You’ll have to ask them.”
Meanwhile, David recently was quoted as saying that he’d just as soon not have Trump supporters attend his shows, and he tells The Hollywood Reporter that he stands by that. He says fans coming to his concerts can expect to hear him really dig into the President.
“I don’t just bash him; I take him apart and hang him up by his thumbs,” Crosby maintains. “I really, really, dislike the guy. But at my concerts I come down pretty hard on most politicians.”
Speaking about concerts, the folk-rock legend recently announced a couple of special shows with his Sky Trails Band, which includes several musicians who are featured on his 2017 studio album, Sky Trails. Crosby and his group will open for Alison Krauss at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia, on June 6, and will support The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on June 29.
