ABC/Randy HolmesFor his new solo album Waiting on a Song, Dan Auerbach recruited folk legend John Prine to play on a few songs. Now, the Black Keys frontman is returning the favor by contributing to Prine’s forthcoming new album The Tree of Forgiveness.
The album, Prine’s first batch of original material in 13 years, features two songs co-written by Auerbach: “Caravan of Fools” and “Boundless Love.” It’ll be released April 13.
Auerbach, who opened for Prine last fall, will launch his own North American headlining tour February 10 in Vancouver. That same day, his episode of the long-running TV concert series Austin City Limits will air on PBS.
