ABC/Randy HolmesTuesday marked the 15th anniversary of 50 Cent‘s debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin.’
On that day, the rapper took to social media to thank the man who played a large part in making that album possible: Eminem.
He tweeted, “This is my Boy right here for life. I love this guy he gave me my shot, and I Ran with it. Classic #denofthieves #POWER @Eminem.”
50’s Get Rich or Die Tryin,‘ released in 2003, was produced by Em and Dr. Dre. Eminem also made a guest appearance on two of the disc’s tracks: “Patiently Waiting” and “Don’t Push Me.”
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and features hit singles “In Da Club,” “P.I.M.P.” and “21 Questions.”
Thanks to the studio project, 50 also scored a Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album, but lost to Outkast‘s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below in 2004.at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004.
