Credit: Jeremy SafferMegadeth‘s iconic mascot Vic Rattlehead returns in the new video for the band’s song “Lying in State,” a track from the thrash legends’ latest album, 2016’s Dystopia. The clip is streaming now via RollingStone.com.
In the video, a sword-wielding Vic hunts down members of what appears to be a surrealist cult. The sword is etched with the phrase “Rust in Peace,” referring to Megadeth’s 1990 album.
The “Lying in State” video is the first part of Megadeth’s 35th anniversary celebration, which also will include a variety of special releases and events throughout the year.
