Raven VaronaThere’s no denying that Cardi B is a bona fide superstar, but for those still unconvinced, look no further than the rapper’s appearance in Amazon’s new Super Bowl commercial.
In the ad, the Grammy nominee takes over as the voice of Amazon’s virtual personal assistant, Alexa, who’s unfortunately lost her voice.
When a boy asks Alexa “How far is Mars?” Cardi steps in with a witty answer. “Okurrr! How far is Mars? How am I supposed to know? I’ve never been there,” she answers.
“This guy wanna go to Mars! For what? There’s not even oxygen there!”
Then, a snippet of Cardi’s hit “Bodak Yellow” is heard in the commercial when a man asks Alexa to play some country music.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Pitch Perfect 3 actress Rebel Wilson and Silence of the Lambs actor Anthony Hopkins also star in the hilarious commercial, each voicing Alexa in their own signature way.
You can watch the entire 90-second ad now on YouTube. It’s also set to air during Super Bowl 52 on Sunday, February 4 beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
