Missy Elliott; Derek BlanksIt looks like the race for this year’s best Super Bowl commercials is on.
Two brand new ads, one for Doritos Blaze and another for Mountain Dew Ice, features two very familiar-looking artists, respectively: Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott.
Busta stars alongside Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage in the Doritos commercial.
Dinklage is shown impressively lip-syncing at top speed to Busta’s song “Look At Me Now,” while walking between two rows of burning chairs. Busta himself appears briefly as a painting that has come to life.
Meanwhile, Missy’s Mountain Dew commercial shows actor Morgan Freeman lip-syncing to her hit, ‘Get Ur Freak On,” in an ice-cold room. Missy appears briefly as a queen sporting a crown of icicles.
Missy unveiled both ads on her Twitter account Tuesday, writing, “Dinklage brought the heat. But Morgan’s swag is #ICECOLD.”
Busta also gave a shout-out to Peter’s rap skills that same day, tweeting, “My boy Dinklage just #SPITFIRE for doritos and the world will never be the same.”
Both commercials are set to air during Super Bowl 52, as the Philadelphia Eagles square off against the New England Patriots, Sunday, Feb 4 beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
