Steven Ferdman/Getty ImagesWe have another report from the enigmatic land of Tool, this time from Adam “Nergal” Darski, frontman for Polish extreme metal band Behemoth.
In an Instagram post, Nergal revealed he recently visited Tool in the recording studio, where they’re working on their long-awaited new album. “It was splendid experience to see this visionary band perform in the same room,” Nergal wrote in the caption.
Nergal’s post follows a December studio report from Tom Morello, who said that the new Tool music sounds “epic,” “majestic” and “sexy.”
According to drummer Danny Carey, Tool’s new album, the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days, will be released this year. As for when this year, frontman Maynard James Keenan recently tweeted that it’s “Not. Coming out this summer. Not.” So make of that what you will.
