Credit: Jeff ForneyAlong with fronting Avenged Sevenfold, M. Shadows is an avid golfer. For a segment on the Golf Channel, Shadows showed off his skills during a friendly match with three-time PGA Tour champion Brendan Steele.
In the video, which was filmed before Sunday’s Grammys, Shadows promises to give Steele his potential Grammy if the pro wins the match. In return, Steele agrees to part with his Safeway Open trophy if Shadows wins.
Shadows ending up winning the game, though Avenged Sevenfold’s “The Stage” lost out the Best Rock Song Grammy to Foo Fighters‘ “Run.” It appears that Steele owes Shadows his trophy, though, so perhaps it can take the place of a Grammy in the rocker’s display case.
Shadows also talked about his love of golf on the Member Guest podcast, which is hosted by Linkin Park bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell.
