Eric Ray DavidsonFor her upcoming Tell Me You Love Me tour, Demi Lovato is getting fans involved more than ever.
On Wednesday, she announced she’ll have group “therapy sessions” for a fans ahead of each concert, in partnership with CAST Centers, the mental health treatment center she co-owns. But in addition to that, she’s also been letting her Lovatics pick the tour’s set list.
Demi put out a call to fans on Twitter recently, writing, “I hate it when fans are unhappy with the set list…help me put it together!! What do y’all definitely want to hear?”
She got a lot of suggestions — some of them unexpected.
“A couple songs have surprised me and I’ve actually made some edits in the set list, so going back and changing some things, [and] adding more from the new album Tell Me You Love Me,” Demi tells ABC Radio.
In addition to planning her tour, which kicks off February 26, Demi is also showing her support for fellow artists — in particular Camila Cabello, whom she helped discover while a judge on The X Factor. Camila’s solo album and her single, “Havana,” both hit number one on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts, respectively.
“I’m definitely really proud of her,” Demi says. “You know, I’ve known her since she was really young on X Factor and Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid and I and Britney [Spears] put her in Fifth Harmony and now she’s branched out into her own career and I think it’s incredible.”
And as for those rumors that Demi might do a follow-up to her YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated, she would only tease, “Well, you’ll just have to wait and see!”
