Blackened Recordings Metallica‘s reissue series will continue with the re-release of the long out-of-print The $5.98 EP — Garage Days Re-Revisited, a five-track covers EP originally released in 1987. The remastered collection will be available on CD, vinyl and cassette on April 13.
The $5.98 EP features covers of Metallica’s early influences, including Diamond Head, Misfits, Holocaust, Killing Joke and Budgie. It was the first release from Metallica with new bassist Jason Newsted, who joined the band after Cliff Burton‘s death in 1986.
