Mary J. Blige; ABC/ Ida Mae AstuteThe initial lineup for this year’s Essence festival has been announced and a number of exciting acts, including Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige and Jill Scott are headed to New Orleans this July for the live event.
Also on the bill are Fantasia, Xscape, 112, The Roots featuring Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Miguel, MC Lyte, MAJOR., Marsha Ambrosius and Ro James, and Luther actor and DJ Idris Elba.
Weekend ticket packages are available to buy now, with prices starting at $150.
The 2018 Essence festival takes place from July 5 to 8.
