Courtesy of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage FestivalThe lineup for the 2018 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been unveiled and the latest edition of the music and cultural extravaganza features an impressive lineup of legendary artists, starting with headliners Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Lionel Richie and Jimmy Buffett. As always, JazzFest takes place over last weekend in April and the first weekend in May, this year running from April 27 through May 6.
Among the many other acts on the bill are the Steve Miller Band, Smokey Robinson, ex-Talking Heads singer David Byrne, George Benson, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Aaron Neville, Buddy Guy, Anita Baker, Lyle Lovett, Delbert McClinton, Irma Thomas, and John Mayall. The festival also will include a tribute to late New Orleans legend Fats Domino featuring fellow rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis and other guests, as well as a celebration of The Big Easy’s tricentennial.
JazzFest 2018 takes place April 27-April 29 and May 3-May 6 at the New Orleans Fair Grounds. Advance single-day tickets are available for purchase now for $65, not including fees, via Ticketmaster.
